First Workshop of 2010 "Day with Kim Weston"

We hope you can join us! Experience the magic of Wildcat Hill! Kim and Gina Weston at Wildcat Hill. "A Day with Kim Weston" on Saturday March 27, 2010 is a special introduction to the Weston family's contributions to fine art photography. The day starts at Wildcat Hill, (the former home of the late Edward Weston). Edward's old darkroom is here, it still has some of his original equipment and memorabilia in it. Standing in the darkroom you can easily imagine him printing in the early am or with his son Brett, while they were working on the project prints together. The house really hasn't changed that much, we try to keep it simple as Edward would have wanted it. In the afternoon the group goes on a field trip to Point Lobos and while Kim points out locations that Edward photographed, he also tells childhood stories about his dad, Cole and his uncle Brett. During the day we show lots of photography, 3 generations of Weston Photography! In the evening we gather for a fireside dinner with guest artist speakers, last year we had photographer Huntington Witherill, sculptor Micah Curtis and photographer Cody Edison. Even if you aren't a photographer, you can still appreciate the history and magic of Wildcat Hill. 2010 Wildcat Workshop Calendar Micah Curtis Big Sur Sculptor

  1. I think I know Kim. Did he used to live in Castro Valley in an old house off Castro Valley Boulevard?
