Santa Monica College Visits Wildcat Hill & Platinum Printing and Beyond using digital negs.
Photographer and teacher, Ford Lowcock from the Santa Monica College, Santa Monica CA. brings a group of students up to the Central California coast every year for a photographic adventure. This year wasn't any different. He brings up large groups and visits as many different photographers and their studios that they can get in their schedule. This trip they brought over 60 students which we can't accommodate very well here at Wildcat Hill. For those of you that have been here know what I mean. So they paired it down to about 17 interested participants, a group of instructors and students. We gave them the tour of the house and Kim showed 3 generations of Weston Photographs to the group.

Kim also showed the group the digital negatives that we make in the workshop "Platinum Printing and beyond: Using Digital Negatives". May 14, 15 & 16, 2010. In this class you will learn how to make digital negatives from your digital files or scans and then learn how to print them in the time honored process of Platinum. This is a another wonderful way to use your digital files to make beautiful prints. If you would like more information about this workshop or if you would like to sign up just send me an email gina@kimweston.com or visit our website page.
